The latest UPDATE to SchoolWise for the 2024 school year includes a

HUGE change in how students will be UNENROLLED

Since SchoolWise was developed over 25 years ago, we have always trained users to un-enroll students on the first day of non-attendance. Or, the first day the student was not in the seat. Our latest update for the 2024 school year now changes that procedure. We are rolling out this update in the next few weeks and soon you will see these changes to the desktop.

The new procedure for ALL UNENROLLMENT is now going to be:

LAST DAY IN SEAT

Class Schedule Unenrollment

When choosing to unenroll a student from a Class: Right-click on the class you wish to unenroll from, and choose Unenroll from, as you always did, but now the date used is the LAST DAY IN SEAT. (As seen below)

If you are moving a student from one ADA class to another (and wish to retain history), To ensure proper ADA calculation the new procedure is:

1. Use the LAST DAY IN SEAT for the exiting ADA class. (Example below - 03/15/2023)

2. Use the FIRST DAY IN SEAT when enrolling in the new ADA class. (Example below - 03/18/2023)

(The old way was to use the same date for unenrollment and enrollment, but this new procedure replaces that.)

School Unenrollment

When choosing to unenroll a student from the School: Right-click on the school enrollment record you wish to unenroll from, and choose Unenroll from, as you always did, but now the date used is the LAST DAY IN SEAT.  (As seen below)
