Creating Custom Picklist for Discipline Referral Offenses

To Add/Edit the picklist items for Discipline Referral Offenses in SchoolWise, left-click on the File Menu - District Setup - Discipline Setup as shown below:

This will bring up the Student Discipline Setup form where you see two page tabs, one for Referral Offenses and the other for Suspension Offenses. 

PLEASE DO NOT EDIT or CREATE any new items in the Suspension Offenses tab as these are linked to CALPADS codes and Ed Code. Any alterations to the Suspension Offenses picklist can have unintended consequences with CALPADS submissions and/or state reporting. 

ONLY use the Student Discipline Setup form to Add/Edit Referral Offenses as shown below:

To Edit an existing Referral Offense, left-click and highlight the Referral you wish to Edit, type over the Offense Text to change the name, and/or click on the pull-down menu to change the Severity. Once you have made changes be sure to save using the Save icon in the toolbar (top left) or Ctr+S as shown below:

To add a new Referral Offense, right-click anywhere in the list of Referral Offenses and you will see the options shown below:

Choose Add New Referral Reason. Edit the Severity, Add the text and click Save.

If you no longer want to use an existing Referral Offense, click the box 'No Longer Used'. This will hide the picklist item in the desktop/web referral forms. If a Referral Offense has been used previously, it can't be deleted.

Once you have created a New or Edited an existing Referral Offense you may have to log out and then back into SchoolWise for your new picklist items to become available in the desktop/web referral forms.
