Parent Web Portal Overview
- A parent portal web account can be created for each in-household parent (User Type P) or each out-of-household parent/contact (User Type M).
- Web accounts for in-household parents (User Type P) are automatically linked to all students in the family by FamID. In-household parents are identified with a blue dot beside their name in the Desktop SIS. Click here for more details.
- Web accounts for out-of-household parents/contacts (User Type M) are explicitly linked to specific students. Click here for instructions to link additional students.
Parent Web Portal Access
Open an up-to-date internet browser (Chrome, Edge, FireFox, Safari, etc.) and navigate to the URL assigned to your school for SchoolWise Web access. It would look like this: YourSchool.schoolwise.com where "YourSchool" will be unique to your school.
Do not try to connect to YourSchool.schoolwise.com. “YourSchool” is a subdomain prefix assigned by SchoolWise for your specific school district or charter school. After your web module has been setup, we will provide the specific prefix to you.
Do not add the www prefix to your school subdomain. SSL will flag it as a security problem since www.YourSchool.schoolwise.com is not the same address as YourSchool.schoolwise.com.
Has a parent/guardian already created a web account? If yes, they can then login. If not, they need to create a web account before they can login. See below for instructions to Create Web Account.
Has a parent/guardian already created a web account but have forgotten their username and/or password?
- A school administrator can determine the status of all web accounts. Click here for instructions.
- A school administrator (with appropriate privileges) can retrieve forgotten usernames or/and passwords and provide the web account username and/or password to the parent/guardian. Click here for instructions.
- If a web portal user has forgotten their web account password, they can submit a password reset request by clicking on the forgot password link below the password field in the user login screen. If the email address they entered matches your SIS records, a password reset link for the web user account will be sent to that email. Click here for instructions.
Create Web Account
Enter your specific SchoolWise Web portal URL (i.e. YourSchool.schoolwise.com) into your internet browser's address bar and click on the Parent Signup link.
The SchoolWise parent portal includes active help information to aid a parent/contact in creating a web account.
There are 2 methods for existing parents to create a parent portal web account from the Parent Signup link at your specific SchoolWise web portal URL (i.e. YourSchool.schoolwise.com).
Create Web Account - Method 1

Create Web Account - Method 2
Parents can create an account by entering their parent name, parent email, child name, and child DOB. An automated email will be sent to the parent with their activation code and link to create their account. New Parent/Student Application/Enrollment Access
If this optional feature has been enabled, a new parent (a parent without any enrolled children in your school district) can create a conditional new parent registration account which only has access to the Parent/Student Application packets (when published). New parents can signup for a restricted new parent registration account using their email (no access code is required). Existing parents in your SIS should not use this option.
